MP5 works on stock, locks when upgraded

Hi my ICS Mp5 refuses to fire when I have these upgrades installed.

I tried to upgrade with these first
- m110 spring
- Modify Bearing Spring Guide - V2

It didn't fire, reinstalled my stock parts and it started firing again.

then I figured these upgrades might help it fire.
- Modify Gearset 6mm V2/V3 - High Torque
- Systema Magnum Motor - Long
- MASK Aluminum Piston Head

It didnt fire.

that battery can't pull an M110 spring. you will need to get a 9.6v mini (which even still probably won't afford you very long battery life pulling that spring), or consider upgrading to a large type or a smaller lipo battery

Your battery is too weak. That should be stickied on the top of this forum or something. Get a lipo battery.

It's really unfortunate when people spend $200 on high torque or helical gears and systema motors when a $20 battery is the only problem. Lipos have practically made these parts completely outdated and unnecessary.

Do you know anybody with a bigger battery? Try a 9.6v large if you know someone who has one. A battery is something that can be easily tried unlike other parts.

As long as you know that your gun is shimmed properly, that's the only thing it could be if you have all those other expensive parts installed correctly.

Only problem with installing those gears with the piston is that you may need to file down the piston teeth to make it so the gears don't jam against the piston.

As ujiro said bigger battery is necessary. G&G has a similar problem with the small 9.6v batteries due to their heavy spring. They come stock with a 9.6v 1400mah battery and it'll only last a few mags. Large battery in the stock is probably best or lipo if you want to jump up there, just make sure everything is smooth in the mechbox. Trust me on that one.

UPDATE!

well it seems a 9.6v large won't do it. I am not quite ready to move to a lipo battery so I think I might have to tone down my spring. Are modify and madbull springs the same?

Unless of course Im missing something here and there is a solution not mentioned yet.

If a large 9.6 isn't doing it you've got other problems, check your shim job. I suspect you've got too many shims and your locking the whole thing up.
