How about this gun for my first?
Hello I have been looking at some of the Canadian Retailer sites and came along a nice looking gun.
Gun Type: ICS MP5 A4 Full Metal (Vr4) Price: 630 Canadian Dollars Is that a good price and is this a good gun for a first? Thankyou |

1. Try getting age verified
2. Google is your friend 3. If you get verified $630 could buy you quite the startup package from the classifieds section on the forum here Ooops didn't look at your age. Sorry do not pass go do not collect $200 try again in 2 years

You're 16. Wait 2 years, or alternatively, prove that you're mature and head to a 16+ game.

How can I prove that?

Thats a good question, and to answer that you cant. Maturity is not something that can be proven, only demonstrated, however through demonstration it can be proven.
Your choice for a first AEG is fine.

Wait. Don't buy a gun right now. You can still start to buy gear, BDUs and such (a good radio can be usefull too).
Show-up at game that accept spectators, preferably with your parent(s). Talk to other players, read reviews, trick, tips. Make yourself a good name (not an other Counter-Strike kid). READ. A lot. Read more. I was on here for almost a year before I started posting on a regular basis. Read again. |

Thanks, how much more money do you think I would have to put into it for upgrades?

Thats one thing I will never understand. Why people need to fuck with something that works. Your gun should be fine out of the box, it shouldnt need upgrades. It may require preventative maintenance but nothing much more if this is your first season.
Upgrading a gun is irrelevant at this time. Considering upgrades to your gun is irrelevant at this time.

You shouldn't even be thinking of upgrades yet. Theres nothing wrong with playing with a stock gun. Like Kos-Mos said... wait and start purchasing other things that you'll have for the time you can actually buy a gun.

If your buying an ICS don't even think about upgrades, they're demon guns lol
Buy either a TM or CA, something from the classifieds, and then worry about upgrades. Anywho a full interior tuneup on a CA gun will run you about 200$ and thats for everything you'll need. TM is more, around 300-350 because you need gears and a mechbox. |

I'd save 3k.
Research gear set-ups, and talk to people who've "been there, and done that". You may find that that REALLY cool looking setup is a major hindrance on your performance. Research your gun's internals. Find out if there are aftermarket parts for it, incase something breaks. Also look for a gun that's FULL METAL, as metal bodies are pretty scarce these days. OH and..... Keep your mouth shut, and ears open. |

3000 might be a bit much lol
My german kit didn't cost more than 1100$ and thats gun and mags included. Really depends what gear you like too, all your gear could cost less than your gun (german gear), or it could end up costing twice as much (american gear, danish M84) |
