No difference between colours. You're better off with an Aimpoint RDS which the one you linked to is longer..

Aimpoint Replicas have 5 brightness settings, full aluminum or steel, not sure which. It's nice and short. Built like a brick.

i have a clone of that sight. see that type of sight is very common and i have the same one, just made by a different company and it has a different mount (individual instead of a single unit). i have yet to game it, but my friend has the same scope. says its great. no complaints whatsoever. that being said, when i bought it, while it is made for paintball (target audience), it was built with a rifle in mind. in that that my scope, for the wind/elevation adjustment, one click is 1/4" at 100 yards or w.e the seller told me. the seller is the owner of wasaga paintball field, so he is a great guy and would not lie etc etc. as for red or green dot, both are good; use them depending on the light level. the green uses more power than the red. so much more that when the battery starts to drain, the red light will work, but not the green. overall it seems like a nice built scope. i will post pics later tonight
P.S: i bought the tiberius 9 rifle scope. i recommend buying it because it also comes with 2 batteries, allen key, extra screw etc etc.
Just checked the scope: 1 click = 1/2" @ 100 yards
EDIT: it is important to note, the scope i got is full metal, and the brightness settings isn't based on a "click" basis, but a dimmer switch basis. remember not to store the scope with the battery installed.

sorry for the crappy pics. best i could do. here is a link for the scope: http://www.badlandspaintball.com/gunaccess/sights.html

Hope that helps,

Completly false, color has an impact on sighting.

Also, there are a bilion different Aimpoint replicas ranging from utter crap to pure gold, so your second comment doesn't really apply either.

Look around for G&P Aimpoints, have a couple, red dot only, pretty good overall. You could snag one from 1337tactical.com for 75$.

I had a cheapass Leapers generic red/green dot. It worked great and I haven't any complaints. I'd prefer an ACOG or 553 clone though just for the looks.

Ehobby also has some nice ones from KA, and I think Huang has a couple with trades.

Sorry, I didn't know there was a difference, thought it was just colouring and the way people prefer green from red..

Fuck all that noise. EOTechs are much better. Low profile, excellent picture, and hardly any tunnel vision when the SHTF.

HurricanE 552, or 553. Expensive, but is worth every penny.

...OR GP Acogs for longer ranges.
