tactical flashlight muzzle flash? (or something else)
I'm not referring to the tracer unit or anything related to that but I do recall seeing a video posted on this forum that shows an aeg's muzzle flash, simulating multiple flashes of light when bb's are fired. I don't know where to find it or what I should look under. Can somebody help me out here?
Also, there isn't such a thing as a GBB muzzle flash (without computer effects) is there?

I remember a video, it may well be the same one that you're thinking of... It was a night game around some small outdoor buildings. The muzzle flash effect was done by having their taclights set to strobe and (I believe) manually activating them when they pulled the trigger.

yea it was some team's night game or something related. Do all taclights have this strobe feature?

Not all lights have that feature. As far as I know only the night-ops gladious has it.
Its available here -> http://www.davesarmysurplus.com/prod...roducts_id=346 You can use a tracer unit without tracer BBs for a similar effect. |

yah, the guy in the video was using the gladaus(sp) light, but G&P makes an end cap that fits most surefire and other lights that allows for strobe.
- Click Switch Tailcap with strobe function - Suitable for G&P T Series & Surefire Flashlights Flash Light - G&P GP-ACC-527 G&P A.I. Switch Out of Stock US$11.00 |

Actually getting muzzle flash from a GBB is possible as green gas and propane (and I would assume the other gases) are flammable. The guy I bought my PSG-1 off of had a Maruzen M11 fitted with a piezoelectric sparker from a BBQ lighter. The end of the igniter wire was mounted near the tip of the barrel and the sparker assemble was housed internally so that it was depressed with each trigger pull. The thing was awesome; full flames shot out the front with the BBs, and it was loud. He had a video of it he used to help sell it on eBay. He sold all his airsoft off to buy a real steel Beretta M92FS. I’ve tried to get a hold of him since with no avail.

Using explosive gas with an electric (or any other for that matter) ignition system is the worst kind of stupidity. It's bad enough that we have kids shooting spectators at a hockey game, worse to have some twit blow himself up. If you can't even be responsible to protect yourself, how can you be responsible for the safety of others? Having worked with explosive gases in hazardous locations with electrical devices (I am an IP Electrician), I can tell you that 1lb of propane can produce enough explosive force to level a 2000 sq ft house and 10 lbs can level a 10,000 sq ft 5 storey concrete/steel building. How much gas does it take to embed a slide in your forehead, or tear your hand off? I don't know either, but I can sure bet that a few ounces in your mag would make a great start, if not enough to do the job. Why be a twit and bother to risk it? If you really want a muzzle flash that bad, get some real guns and shoot up your friends. Oh, wait, that won't end too well either!!!

Slim, POFF, and someone else from the SATT tried that, luckly no one was injured, however they will NEVER try it again.
mcguyver is right, just the power of expanding propane gas can break slides, now imagine that power ten fold when ignited, I'd say the possibility of a slide to the head IS very possible. DON"T BE FUCKING STUPID, WE DON"T NEED THE PUBLICITY!!!!!! |
