KJW M700 Horribly underpowered
Hey guys!
I just got a KJ M700 in a trade and I have found out that the gun is WAY underpowered compared to that people have been saying about its "awesome" power. With a new mag, freshly filled with propane some bbs won’t even penetrate my cardboard target box at about 10 feet. I have no idea what the hell is going on and any feedback/advice would be helpful. Thanks! |

you may have to check to see if he chopped the hammer spring down. IF he didnt chop it, then he just adjusted it with the screw. Take your bolt out (button under trigger gaurd) and take out those 2 screws on the bottom of the bolt, the front part slides off, and there should be a screw you can turn to adjust the hammer, this will give you less and more power whichever way you turn. There is a guide on how to do it, posted somewheres on here

reads like the striker isn't hitting the valve hard enough.
Take the bolt out and tigthen up the spring. Someone posted a thread on how to do it. |

I believe there's a little knob that can regulate the output of propane so you can adjust the power, might be set too low. Though I don't have one, so I couldn't tell ya where it is, just there's probably one somewhere, search for some m700 threads, most of em I've read talk about this feature.

all these options are just telling you to do the same thing. Theres a knob inside the bolt, must remove the front of it to access, turn one way for more power, other for less power.... just search for the thread, if i find ill link
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...light=m700+fps As far as i can tell, your problem is solved in this thread, thats what weve been explaining, theres a more indepth how to for ya |

Yeah lol there's just one problem with that.. I don't have a manual so I don't know how to remove the bolt. And I guess if the spring is cut down I'm SoL right?

Why don't you ask the person you got the gun from what is wrong with it?

Ok, pull the bolt out, as if to cock it, there is a button right infront of the trigger, push that button in and the bolt comes out. Not the mag release button, its right where the trigger goes into the body.
http://www.southeast-airsoft.com/resources.asp?Cat=3 KJW manual is on there, gotta dl it. Its a winzipped file |

thanks but my download fucked up and it wont let me download it again for 24h. But I do see the button (black metal tab) but I can't press it thus the bolt wont release.
EDIT:: Okay with a little tinkering I got the bolt out... now.. EDIT::: Okay the spring dosn't appear to me cut... EDIT:::: I just tighened the spring all way and I can say that there is at least a 300% increase in power... straight though the bottom of a pop can.... thanks guys!! -Jake |

good to know, hope it didnt take too much work to get it fixed. I know my m700 was tuned down, went through a spray paintcan. Nice gun, shoots hard, quiet, and straight.
