Hey I am in between of choosing batteries for my un upgraded TM AK-47
Should I go for the 8.4V 2000mA or would that be two much power and go for the 8.4V 1300mA. I am wanting to go for whole days with extended times of shooting.

Higher mAh batteries are best for endurance. Get the highest mAh battery you can find/afford, I think the highest the AK can fit is an 8.4V 3000/3300mAh battery.

Don't get a 9.6v that's all I ask. 12v is perfectly fine though.

Go for the 3000mah.

Um. Pardon? If you continously run a 12v with high ampage, you will burn out your motor in no time.

Anything more than 8.4v will cut your mech's life short... a 12v will kill it in a couple hundred shots... or less.

mAh is current supplied, not current forced. The motor and the mechbox is the load, the motor draws as much current as it needs. Fact is, the higher mAh battery you have, the longer your gun will run (number of shots fired per charge). It won't even damage a stock gun (well, unless you are an extreme hose like in the article), but the AK in question for this thread is upgraded, so a higher mAh battery is required, not optional. Can run smaller lower mAh batteries just fine, only that the rate of fire will drop a lot and you'll only get a few hundred shots out per charge (my experienece after I upgraded my MP5A5 and still used 600mAh batteries. )

And the AK in question is stock and is not upgraded that was bad wording on my behalf.


I got the gun cause my dad bought it for me.


So it would be okay to use 8.4V 3000mah Large battery in it and not worry about it being wrecked?

It will be fine with an 8.4v 3000mah battery.

The more MAH, the better as long as it fits inside the stock. 3000mah batteries are a bit bigger than the same version at 2000mah; they may not fit well.
I have never managed to empty the power of my 8.4/1700mah or 2000mah batteries with an upgraded AK.
Buy a really good battery charger.

A 7.2V battery may or may not turn over the gun. If it does, it will run slower and die faster than an 8.4V battery. It however won't damage anything.

A cheap charger will probably work. You'll save money in the long run by investing in a good (~$100) charger, because your batteries will last longer and give you better performance.
