WE Ace-vd Vs WE M14 EBR

whats better for a dmr. and whats better for reliability. and use in cold weather. but reliability's most impotent for me. ive decided on only one of these and aeg's or springers a a auto out for me.

EDIT: Its m16 or m14

Both would be a bad choice for cold weather. Gas guns are a bad choice for that.

Neither to be honest... Gas is bad for a DMR role, or any sort of 'accuracy' based role for that matter.

You're really better off getting a bolt action or getting an AEG in those stylings and upgrade them. They will function more accurately, and still be usable in cold weather.

Reliability is also kind of funny when it comes to GBBR's, Some are reliable and fine out of the box, but in most cases you will need to replace a lot of junk on the inside before you can honestly say you can depend on your rifle to function every time you put a BB through it.

If you're deadset on a GBBR for a DMR, if u go with m16 gbbr (assuming its WE-tech) u can use it in cold weather conditions using CO2 where as (Im not 100% sure) the m14 does not have this option

Actually, CO2 mags are only useful until about 0 degrees; below that you don't get much performance out of those little 12gr cylinders. In cold weather you're better using MAPP/Pro (in the propane mags).

With the right upgrades and used as a DMR, you should be able to get decent consistency and accuracy. But that being said, wanting to go with a Sniper/DM Rifle right off the bad is probably a poor choice: the idea you'll get better accuracy and range with them is fallacy in airsoft; you'll really just have the same gun as everyone else, only much more expensive and much slower (the springer bolt actions do have better inter-shot consistency, and are allowed more power which translates into a bit more range -- but most games won't allow that for AEG/Gas platforms).

Point in case is in the end, it'll result in frustration and disappointment. You should pick up a regular rifle and learn the ins and outs of airsoft. Your ability to build and use a good sniper/DMR platform relies on your understanding of what's going on with your airsoft gun. There's no magical "use X, Y, Z parts" formula that'll instantly turn you into a good shooter.
