Small screw on Kraken?

I was cleaning my kraken and changing it back from CQB to rifle when I noticed a screw just at the bottom of the grip. I heard its for adjusting the gears to make the noise quieter but I don't want to screw that up. How do I know when to adjust it?

What you describe I believe is the motor height adjustment (at least that's what it is on the V2 gearbox). Should be similar for the V3 gearbox except it's in the motor "cage" on the V3 and not "free" in the grip like on the V2.

What it does is actually set the motor height and how the pinion (?) gear interfaces with the rest of the gearbox. Set it too low and it doesn't contact the bevel gear and you get a "whirring" sound. Set it too high and you get a "scraping" sound (and prematurely worn gears). Turn it so that it sounds "as quiet as you can make it". Basically follow the motor height adjustment guide in the FAQ/Gundoc section.

the screw on the bottom of the grip is just holding the grip on
UNDER the grip, theres a screw, usually an allen key, that you can adjust
