CA Glock19

I currently have a CA Glock 19, and i noticed that everytime i pull the chamber back, and release it slowly, it would get caught half way. When i pull it back and release it, it would get caught less frequently (maybe once every 15 times or so).

I also noticed that when i try shooting, it would also get caught the same way.

Does this have something to do with the recoil spring? I'm not sure what i should be looking at to solve this problem? I'm also not sure whether all glock springs can be used (between manufacturers), or do i have to get it from CA?

Sounds like it hasn't been cleaned or if it has not lubed properly the gas chamber sounds like it is sticking my glock did that too before it died on me lol

I had the same problem with my M9 and I clean and lube it regularly. Someone in the Doctor's Corner suggested checking to see if the chamber or slide is getting snagged on anything

To be honest, this is the first time i owned a glock, and i'm not too familiar in how to clean it. I took it apart, and tried to find out where it might be in contact with anything to "catch", but i wasn't able to find out.

As for lubricating, I'm planning on buying the gas adapter/liquid silicone, but i'm not sure where to lubricate, or how exactly to clean it. Although i found you can google it, i'm not sure how thorough it is, since they're tutorials are most probably based on the real glock series. Maybe someone could provide tips?

i'm hoping with my amateur knowledge, i won't break my glock, and will be able to fix and keep this one for a long time

CA Glocks are supposedly based off Tokyo Marui Glocks.

So basically i looked at YouTube - Cleaning the Glock Series

I'm not sure if i can clean the recoil spring the same way, (with a toothbrush), and where i should even apply the silicone. Where might there be the most likely place that could lead to the chamber "catching", assuming the glock is dirty?

maybe someone could provide details on how to clean a glock gbb? :S

cleaning pistols are easy to do and should be done regularly. Most pistols are cleaned the same way. This is the method that I use. YouTube - Marui 1911 take down and BBH maintenance review.

The jam is mostly due to the part of the slide that arms the hammer, the little bump that pushes the arm with a little wheel on it, when aiming the gun, situated on the left side. the hammer arm has a spring that pushes it forward and up when armed, and that gets in the way of the slide's bump when the slides' coming in.

I just watched the video, but they only showed how to take it apart, and add lubrication. is that basically the only place i should add lubrication? or are there other parts?

The thorough cleaning with the cleaning rod/etc, is it just straight forward, use something soft to run through the barrel?

Thats what i thought too, (that little thing on the left side that goes up and down, and is roundish).. i took that part out, but the chamber still catches, so i'm not sure whether the part your referring to is playing a significant part in the "catching".

I just played around with the blowback unit, and it seems thats it gets stuck, so maybe this is what results in the "catching"? sounds like "scratching" sound, so i guess its very dirty. Do i need to take it out completely to clean it, or how should i proceed?

If you cleaned your toy gun glock like that, chances are you've broken something lol

That and cleaning the barrel with a cleaning rod is all you really need for basic maintenance. No need to go farther unless there is a problem.
