Weapons Choices

Hey guys, before i ask ill just say this, i have confronted the FAQs and those only help me so much, and i also understand that i am a minor so please dont go crazy on me for asking.
Could someone help me find a DECENT gun meeting these criteria:
-Good platform to upgrade on
-Assault Rifle
-Under $400
-A weapon that can take a beating
-And a weapon that is good for outside battles

If anyone could help me find a AEG that meets some or most of these aspects it would be greatly appreciated.

A good gun that an take a beating pretty much means metal body or non-ABS plastic.... in other words, more than $400 gun.

However, based off the rest of your criteria, I'd vote something by JG (maybe their G36) or a lower-end G&G model.

I find larger assault rifles (M16, G3, etc) with plastic bodies are rather creaky or flex and overall just aren't as strong. They'll work fine but you can't smack them around like a metal or nylon bodied gun.

I'd say pretty much any "mid end" china clone will do. CYMA, JG, AGM, etc. Outside of that to get a gun that meets all of your criteria I'd say you would have to look at getting a budget of at least $500.

Also when do you turn 18? If you're 16+ I'm sure if you ask your local field you *might* be able to spectate and maybe even join in on a game. Obviously you can't buy guns but at least you kind of get your foot in the door for greater acceptance.

CYMA AK-74U (and other AKs) are what you are looking for (externally, they are very solid) and within your price range

3 of my guys have had Cyma AK's, none of them lasted longer than a year. After constant use they start to get super wobbly and accuracy starts going straight down the shitter.

A CYMA AK74U will run you about 350, If you save up another 150-200 you could find a nice side folding, ALL STEEL Realsword Type 56-2

QFT. My entire triangle stock snapped off with no hope of repair, nor replacements. The whole front sight assembly was wobbly, and front sights were not even zero to the flight path, and could not be adjusted accordingly.

now before you say anything about how noby is telling you were to get these suggestions, it's against forum rules to tell you as your underage. But aside from that I'd also suggest A CYMA, Kalash, Echo 1, JG or Dboys.

I would say the CYMA AK-47. I don't own it but I've heard good things about it, and there's a full metal and real wood version on evike for $180.00. Or if you want to wait there's another version with blowback they're supposed to get in for $190 I think it was?
Here's the first one: http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_i...ducts_id=30088

If you don't want to order from evike(don't know where you
re from but I know Canadians usually can't import airsoft guns, unless they're clear I think?) I'm sure you can find a similar price somewhere else.

Basically, when it comes purchasing airsoft guns, you have 3 general traits:

-Reliability (strength, dependability, maintenance, etc.)
-Performance (accuracy, consistency)
-Upgradability (after market part availability, part comparability, etc)

When purchasing on a budget, pick any two. You won't get all 3 for the price you're looking for.

The best advice I can give would be to contact local players. Not only is it kind of pointless to gear up without a place to play, but you'll be able to see guns up front and get vast amounts of information face to face.

Then, when you know better what you're interested in, you'll be in a better position to get it.

How young are you?

Buddy,

Your only choices can be found at :
www.canadianairgunsupply.com

Since they are the only Canadian suppliers or ''legal'' airsoft.

I would suggest G36, but you can get great reviews on :
http://www.airsplat.com
Although it is a USA site they do give good infos and video reviews on most guns.
