Question to TM Glock 17 owner
hi,
I just bought a gas blowback TM Glock 17 3rd gen. What is the best gas to use in this gun?, Green gas or Propane, or other? Thanks |

green gas = propane. They are the same thing.
For the TM, use propane, but it would be best to upgrade it to a metal slide. |

"best gas" for what? Power and kick, propane. Reliability/durability, duster. You will break the front inner frame screw post running on propane. Its a matter of time.

Are all TM internals (Left end) made up of mostly plastic like on the TM Glock? |

If you unscrew that, and remove the trigger and take down lever, that front metal slide rail/frame will come out. And it will reveal a plastic post which the screw screws into. I have broken that post on TM frame using a Guarder steel slide with propane, broken it on a 1st gen Guarder frame with the same setup. Now I am using a 2nd gen Guarder frame(now with metal insert), But I have reinforced the front frame with JB weld to distribute the load through out the front section, which should help it survive now. I have also broken a stock(meaning plastic slide) TM G18C's post, running propane. It is also on a 2nd Gen Guarder frame now with JB weld reinforcement....

Will I have less power with metal slide because of the weight of it compare to the ABS slide? So the duster gas is better for maintain the gun in good condition? does it lube the gun? or do I have to lube it manually? I bought that oil for lubing my airgun, do yo think it will do the job on the TM glock? http://www.airgunsource.com/store/in...216-7505&c=145 thanks to all for your help |

Metal slide won't affect power, it will affect gas consumption because it'll use more gas to cycle the heavier slide, but BB is shot out before the slide start cycling. Stock spring can cycle the heavier slide, just a lot slower.
Its not that duster lubes the gun, the high pressure gas imparts more force on the plastic frame, and increases the wear and tear on its structural components. Duster is just easier on things. But if you want to run metal slide, you will want to use propane since the gun will cycle much more sluggishly... |

3-1 will eat your rubber. It says it won't on the can but its a petroleum product so it will. Get rc shock damper silicon oil from a hobby shop.
