G&G M14 Hop Up

I picked up the latest version of the G&G m14 a couple of weeks ago and I noticed something about the hop up. I was using .25g BB's and even though the hop up was turned all the way OFF, the unit is over hopping the BB. I thought I would use the gun for a bit and see if the rubber breaks in. I have put a couple thousand rounds through the gun and it still acts like the hop up is turned on too much, even though it is turned all the way off.

I have yet to disassemble the hop up unit, I was just wondering if this is a known issue with the G&G m14?????
