VSR gods take a look

Alright this thing is making me want to just light it on fire and count my losses... but again its not mine.

But it broke in my hands and its my responsbility to fix it. Neways this VSR has had less than 1000 shots through it. Its not "slam firing" what its doing is the bolt is getting stuck all the way back and than refusing to budge until you put some pressure on it, than it snaps forward. Everything is stock. The stock set up should last longer than that.... It worked fine the other day for about 100 rounds than started doing that. It was doing it before with an older sear I got.

So is there a sear adjustment that I am missing? Or are these things just made out of playdo?

Mine does this, Piston is shit. It's to be expected of clone BA rifles.

If you rotate the piston 45-90 degrees the problem will go away till the piston rotates itself back to the stripped/worn section.

alright yah thats exactly what happens... I guess its time for a new piston. Atleast its not the sear again.

if u don't wanna have this problem again in another 1000 or so shots (if that even) just shell out for the zero-trigger and high pressure piston set u can get - if it's a clone rifle ur working on it'll need a minor size adjustment on the piston diameter but otherwise it'll make things so much better in the long run

Usually the problem you describe is related to the cylinder being slightly bent, but it could be a combination of that and the stock piston.

I don't think I can convince him to go for the zero trigger... I have tried lol. I am looking at the laylax Red piston, are these any good? If so is there a in country carrier that anyone knows about?

If he upgrades to this will it chew apart the sear?.... trying to find the easiest route with out too much carrniage. But When you upgrade the motor in a car, you better make sure you have better breaks.... and than suspension.... and than fuel deliver... and than more HP...

easiest route is the zero trigger. You will need new sears the way your talking about it. I have an entire guide on how to work on the vsr if you look in the upgrades and modifications section.

agreed with bean but unfortunatly it will cost you double what the gun is worth brand new. I too will be replacing my internals as soon as money is available thank god mine still shoots like a dream

unfortunately i doubt u'll be able to just replace the piston with an upgrade without doing the v-trigger as well. I myself tried that and it just didn't work together - bolt wouldn't lock back properly etc

what brand VSR are you working on BTW?

Buy a PDI piston, they're tough as nails
If it's under 400fps, the stock sears will last half to a whole season. If it's over 400fps, you'll be lucky if it gets 20 rounds out lol

its a stock TSD. yah the zero trigger set I am seeing for roughly 170 USD+shipping.

the PDI piston is I think the route we may go with some reinforced sears... again its not my wallet so we will see.
