Sweet. So I got my replica WW2 German Helmet today. Pretty good quality. Dont like the enamel paint job on it but going to get a cover for it or repaint. Also have the WW2 Canadian Brodie(original) and an American GI Helmet form same period. Now starts the outfitting. As for the weapons. I will prolly buy an mp40 or greasegun, and try to mod an M14 into a KAR. so ya it will be at least a year before everything is done, but we should try to find a location in the montreal area and possibly start meeting for small skirishes etc. Get to know each other and figure out how we want to re-enact these airsoft games. cheers

You can just buy a KAR outright, you can convert an M14 to a M1 Garand.

I would definitaly be up for something like this in Quebec. I'd probably end up getting either a BAR or air-cooled .30 cal.

I know the mod you're talking about, but it is not the m-14(thats for a M1 garand). The mod for the 98k uses a VSR 10 for the base. Can't remember the $$ though.

Buying a kar 98 in Canada is gonna cost you some of those $$. Tanaka is the best but that is 1000, Marushin goes for anywhere around 400-700 but that is super realistic w/ 1 shot ejecting shells when you cycle the bolt (and uses 8mm bb's which aren't cheap in this country). D-Boys makes something similar to Marushin but is spring, (found a mod to increase fps on that too, but can't remember where) and uses 6 mm bb's.

there it is, hope that helps. Re-enacting isn't cheap, but you'll find that out when you're on e-bay at 3 am scrolling through pages trying to find a M-42 5 button tunic for 5 bucks cheaper than the last one you added to your watch list!!

Hahahaha so true. I think I have 14 1910 canteen and covers in my watch list. And about 6 wool shirts. lol. I have found though that buying origional is cheaper for the most part. For field gear anyways.

Oh yeah! Over the years I've ordered over $5000 worth of stuff from Rollin at At The Front. But some stuff is very expensive. Such as wool shirts and HBT combat sets. At $90 a piece, I can get real ones in the same size for cheap.

True, very interested in his German Fallschirmjäger Boots but its $250 w/s&h

Also like how they sell complete impressions. 101st Airborne is nice ($800 or so)
