Crazy Gifts WW2 German Anorak

Anyone know what I should do with a WW2 German mountain anorak. I was given this by a friend from Germany. The wife of the guy who owned it says her husband was one of the few guys to escape Russia. I can't confirm this as the gentleman has alsheimer. Still, from the markings, paper buttons, reversable white/green, pockets, fabric and other things this jaket looks original. It is a pretty solid jacket and before I knew what was given to me I wore it for a paintball game and washed it. If stupid comes to mind that would be correct. What should I do with it? I was thinking of giving it to the Rocly Mountain Ranger Museum in Kamloops?
Any suggestions?

Question :O

The jackets a crazy piece of history. My girlfriend hates the coat, she says it's creepy. I guess in a way it is but, what it must have gone through is more than most of us will ever see in three lifetimes.

Well... I don't think it'd be wise to give it to a museum because it'd just sit in the back and become a dust magnet. Now, if the museum had the rest of the gebrigsjager uniform, then sure! But if it's the only piece of clothing, do you really think they'd put it on display?

If I had it, I'd make some sort of case to put it in and show it off.

We had this discussion didn't we?
Besides, it'd be the Rocky Mountain Ranger Museum, so it wouldn't be misused
