WA Prokiller not cycling, slide gets jammed back

I'm trying to fix my buddy's WA Prokiller.

Here's the symptoms:
1. The single fire mode doesn't work, hasn't worked for a year, but full auto works fine, or was working fine even though single fire wasn't.

2. When you pull the trigger, the slide recoils back, stops and vents the gas from the mag.

3. when i put the slide on a regular SV frame (no full auto function) the slide works perfectly, which leaves me to believe the problem lies within the lower receiver.

The gun has always operated on propane in the past without problems.
I've tried several mags, all leading to the same errors.
Anyone have any tips or solutions to the problem?

When I first got my Prokiller (SV 5 inch) I tried propane but never got it to cycle. Never had a problem using duster. May be try that

Okay here's the update,

I tried duster with no luck.
If i hold down the slide release the gun will keep firing on it's own, after one trigger pull until the gas has completely emtied.
If you don't hold it down, the slide gets locked back, because of empty mag, and all the gas spills out.

Arny mentioned to me that it might have been a sears problem, but i don't know for sure. Are the sears for prokiller and single fire SVs interchangeable?
