Holster Recommendation

Hello all,

I have obtained a WE Bulldog (compact). It's perfect for me! I always wanted a 1911 but alas, I have small hands, and this Bulldog fits like a glove (or rather I fit it like a glove).

I just want some help finding the right holster for it. From perusing around online a bit I gather that I'm essentially looking for a PX4 Beretta style holster?

Anyway, there's so many brands and names out there - I just want to make sure I get the right one and thought maybe someone with far more experience than I could help out.

Again, I'm looking for a holster for the WE Bulldog. This one right here: http://www.evike.com/products/42079/

Thanks!

PS. as a side note, yes I did look at the holster in the "you may also need" section from that Evike link. I am looking for a holster that does have some sort of locking/unlocking mechanism (ie a button to push in order to draw your weapon). The one in that recommended section is not like that.

The way you plan on carrying your pistol may impact what type of holster you want/can find.

-lefthand/righthand draw
-belt/molle/dropleg

Also the fact that your sidearm isn't a 'common' style will also impact your select and what I mean by common is Glock, Sig, 1911, M9, etc types

You will be hard pressed to find a holster for that thing.

Get a custom made kydex one made. A few people in the GTA that make them.

Am I incorrect in saying that the Bulldog is just a replica of a PX4 Beretta?

I could just get an actual Beretta holster and try it on for size and it should work? Any naysayers to that?

Think it'll depend on how close to 1:1 your pistol is to real steel holsters

Makes sense.

My absolute best option would obviously be to just bring the thing with me to a retailer and trial and error holsters and find one that fits. I would rather do that than go through the rigmarole of ordering online/returning etc.

Did some poking around.
The measurements are almost identical to the Storm SubCompact.

No it's not a replica of the px4 Beretta.

The we bulldog is the compact version of the full version px4.

You may get it to fit in a normal px4 holster but you will have about 1-2 inches of unused space in the holster and if you're investing in a compact version it's a waste since you're using more space where you could save.

Unless you want to grab a normal px4 holster and cut it in half to save space you'll have a better time getting either a molle/drop leg or a custom one from kydex.

Well I never claimed it to be a replica of the PX4 Beretta. The PX4 Beretta comes in various sizes, there is a full-size/compact/sub-compact. I looked at the specs from Beretta's website and the subcompact is as close as it gets. I wasn't talking about the full size at all.

Is there anyone/anywhere in the GTA that still works with Kydex? I saw it on a few forums here but they're all from 2-3 years ago.

Cheers.

I'm so terribly sorry. I had just made a comment eight whole hours before your reply that amended my previous statement. Relating the pistol to the Sub-compact; not the full-size. It's understandable that you didn't see that one. We all miss little things sometimes, just like I originally thought it was identical to the full-size pistol.

Thank you for your helpful input, though. I was in the wrong to say I 'never' claimed.

Since it's difficult to find a dedicated holster. You may want to look at the Warriors Assault Systems universal holster.

Varidian makes a TACLOC holster for the PX4 subcompact. Not a bad looking holster, functions similar to a SERPA. Custom Kydex is also a great option.

Your guess is as good as mine as to how the airsoft version fits in a real steel holster. My TM PX4 was a snug fit in a real steel Safariland ALS holster but it still worked fine; for whatever that's worth.

Custom Kydex would most likely be your best bet for that gun.
