Glock 18C [TM System] Magazine Randomness???
Hi Folks
Weird issue I've been scratching my head for some time now. Finally decided to post a thread and ask to see if anyone else can figure this out. Alright lets get straight to the issues. My HK3/WE Glock 18C for some odd reason won't cycle properly with WE magazines. Shooting with WE mags I'd get symptoms like short stroking, weak blow back and gas venting just to name a few. Its as if my Glock 18Cs are all allergic to WE magazines which is strange considering they are all HK3/WE Glocks! But when I insert a TM magazine the gun shoots and fires fine no problem at all. Whats this you guys are thinking? Maybe my WE mags are bad... well they all work perfectly fine in my HK3/WE Glock 17s perfectly. A bit more details about my Glocks. I have X3 HK3/WE Glock 17s All G17s are upgraded with various slides and frames all working perfectly I still have the stock Slides and such laying around as well. All G17s have no magazine issues. All mags work on the G17s I also have X4 G18C as well. 3 of the 4 are working normally on TM magazines and Junk one that for some reason has very very weak blow back [This junk one was my first G18C purchased I bought used] These too have been upgraded with various slides and frames and TM parts. I still have the Stock WE slide barrel as well that still functional I've gone through many variations of parts mixing and matching and still the same issue and symptoms with all of them. Some of these G18C are about 5 years old or older At the moment I have a total of 8 working Glock magazines.. and probably 8 other broken mags. TM X2 Standard Mags TM X 2 Long Mags 4 WE Standard Mags. Alright so.... does anyone know what the deal is with this issue? Realized this issue about two seasons ago but it never bothered me because I always had a working Side Arm lol Apologies in advance for the unorganized post... I've been up all night and its past 5am Update: Just some information I forgot to add in before. G18C were all shooting fine years ago on WE mags. Just the Past Two seasons I noticed that WE mags were becoming an issue. Also venting gas issue only occurred when when the magazine was usually full. I did however replace the hammer spring a while back but with no change in results. TM mags full of course did not have this issue of venting gas Last edited by shelcoof; August 31st, 2016 at 15:41.. |

is the seal on the mag sealing against the air nozzle? Or are they sitting too low?

For the first 3 years I haven't had a problem with WE magazines. Its just the pas couple of years that I noticed it starting becoming an issue. The Seals seem fine to me last I remembered. Is there anything specific that I should be looking for? I'll take a look again just to double check. Update: Alright so I this is what I did to check Took Base plate off of Magazine and inserted them into Glock 17 and Glock 18C No difference between the two. Magazines have slight horizontal play but very little vertical play at all. Pushing the mags up with my Hand to make sure it was a tight fight did not resolve the issue. Though today is a better day actually when firing the WE mags. Cycling was more consistent but still showed symptoms of the previous issues. Without assisting the magazine there is barely any play at all with the magazine. Last edited by shelcoof; August 31st, 2016 at 15:42.. |

Check the seal just behind the feed lips. Sometimes those wear out. Might be noticeably shorter on the WE mags compared to TM.
At least you narrowed it down to the mag |

I've visually inspected the seals and they look fine. I've compared them to the NEWer WE mags that I barely used. These mags were my wall hanger mags and there's barely any paint wear on them. |
