Non-pyro flares
So, I've come across a wonderous product called the PowerFlare, which is a battery powered LED flare. Apparently this puck-sized unit is durable enough to be run over, waterproof to three hundred feet, and very bright. And kind of pricey, at around U$100 for a rechargable one and a charger.
I am sure that they would come in pretty handy in a game situation. Hell, there is even an IR version for you crazies with NVGs. |

IR ones could be neat too, just stash a few out in your shooting lane, and wait... |

does anyone else feel more inclined towards accidentally burning a forest down... then paying $100 for a piece of plastic with LED's stuck in it?

I won't disagree with that statement, being both a pyro and a forest fire fighter.
...and a cheap, starving student. |

Well, if your on a budget you can always use chem lights.
Its a good idea, I just don't know if I'd pay 100 bucks for it. |

Similar, but a whole lot cheaper.

I'm sure you can manufacture something like that for under $10. |
