if you going for a Mosfet for a M4, Id suggest the AWS Raptor or the ASCU VER2 mosfet instead, they are specially designed for v2 gearboxes however if you are running other guns that don't use a v2 gearbox i guess you could try this one,
Not sure about it though i want to know if this works in M14 v7 gearboxes as well as other gearboxes

Turns out I should have done a little more research before posting, looks like this unit does nothing to help the trigger.

This is a well-known G&G defect of a run of Combat Machine and related gearboxes (for example, the SOCOM Gear G&G stuff) from 2011. I've had it and many others have too.
Arcing is not the reason you are getting extremely long bursts and this problem will not be solved using a Burst Avocado. It took me a while to fix this problem in my gearbox, requiring replacing the trigger assembly and fiddling with the trigger and trigger spring. You're going to have to open up your mechbox and figure out how to get your contact trolley to stop sticking. By the way, the Burst Avocado does not fulfill the key function of a MOSFET. If you want a MOSFET I recommend you get one of the Extreme-Fire ones (you can't really lose for 35 bucks). The Burst Avocado will not save your contacts from a 11.1V battery.

The burst avocado is just somekind of current timer.... it will cut the current after X time, to stop the motor from cycling, and hopefully, it will cut it jsut in time after your gearbox has cycled 3 times!

Anyone who actually research the burst avocado will know that's it will function like a mosfet. It actually has a current retardation function. It retards the flow of electricity on initial contact. Been using one for a few months now and its been great.

2:22-2:35 just saying! Im not saying i wont buy one, I like the fact that it is Plug-N-Play, it not going to solve the contact problem according to the video Last edited by j3ttamaster; April 7th, 2012 at 22:23.. |

If you aren't using LiPos to fuel your gun with the urgency of 10000 race horses leaping out of a gate, then what the heck is the point? The main reason these things (Avocado, Wizard) exist is to provide some logical trigger control functionality. Using them on high powered setups is pointless.
