K98 scope compatability

lookin to get a scope for my Tanaka Kar98.

saw this one: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/rwa-2x20-...ushin-98k.html

however it says it's for the Marushin. will it fit my Tanaka Kar98? it looks like it will but you never know, does anyone have on their Tanaka?

would like to get a ZF41 scope for mine but I don't really want to spend the $400 on one and modify my new Kar to fit it just yet so this will do, unless someone know's where to get me one cheap(ish). or any scope that doesn't sit really far forward on the gun like the Ehobby one does

AFAIK, the ZF41 was not intended for a sniper scope but more for a sharpshooter's roll. DMR if you will. It is so far forward due to it's long eye relief. The scope looks really cool, but it's more effective just using your iron sights on that baby. Just noticed you are in northern Ab, too bad, I could use another kammeraden around here lol.

the ZF41 is the one that mounts directly over the bolt, like you see in old pictures, this ehobby one sits way out infront of it, the ZF41 you can buy, but on ebay they run for like $400, ouch not ready to make that kind of investment yet. from what you say I probably won't get a scope just yet. it is deadly accurate without.

I may be hitting up the calgary area this summer, got a bit of an Inglorious Basterds set up for now while I finish my SS kit

Unfortunately I did not bring my Heer outfit with me to Calgary for the summer...

Hi
The marushin will not fir the Tanaka k98 without some modifications. The mount has to be "dremmeld" quite a bit.
