Classic Army Scar-L Gearbox

Hi everybody. I recently acquired a CA Scar L Proline which has a broken

gearbox shell

Since the internals are stock but are still fine for now, I will just have to

replace gearbox shell.

So, I learned from google searching that CA Scars use Classic Army V2 7mm

Metal Bearing Gear Box. But, it does not use any V2 7mm, but only the ones

without the little ring kind of thing on the lower right side(I heard its for the

mag release.)

But, All I found on the internet are gearboxes with the little ring

So, does anyone here know any website I can get the right gearbox? Or am

I misinformed, and the ones over there are actually Usable?

My first ever gun to fix, so Im nervous but want to do a decent job! Please

help!

Just get a regular version 2 shell and cut the ring off. I've not been impressed with ca shells in general (boo self tapping screws)

Um... ok. Either snap it off with plyers and file smooth or dremel it off with zip wheel. Neither are really challenging imho
