TSD VSR 10 Bolt/bb jam

Please help this issue is starting to irritate the hell outa me ok so here it is now keep in mind this doesnt happen all the time but about 45% of the time when im cycling the bolt it gets 95% all the way back into position to fire but it jams i pop out the mag and there is a bb in the way of the cylinder head i have to release tension on the cylinder to release the bb onto the ground i can then close the bolt and fire the round inside the chamber. now because this doesnt happen all the time im at a loss and im not much of sniper doc yet but am learning fast. oh and by the way its all stock parts and other than this issue it works flawlessly.

oh yeah this happens with all three mags i have so i dont think this is the issue however i dont know thats why im asking

Thanks in advance.

Squeek!

Sounds like some alignment problem, your cylinder head is pushing 2 BBs out of the mag, 1 successfully and another unsuccessfully?

sorta its more like there isnt enough tension to keep the second bb from following the first and what part if it was an alignment issue would be mis-aligned the hopup or the cylynder head or the mags?

i know this is a bitch trying to figure out without actually having it in front of you but every little bit helps

Have you tried it with only a couple BBs in the mag? Less in the mag would mean less pressure pushing them out of the mag. Might help define if it's something with the mag.

Maybe beause its a TSD?

In all seriousness, i could be your mags. If you can, try another friends or clubmates, and if that doesnt work, maybe upgrade the cylinder set? Kind of pricy, but if your going to upgrade it anyways, just try that first.

Okay, this is an easy fix.
Just before the chamber there is a U-shaped piece that prevents double feeding.
The stock TSD spring there is pretty weak.. and it allows more than 1 bb to feed.

Just replace the spring with a pen spring and you are good to go.

Sounds like a similar problem I have with my M24 at times. When my feed lip or lips go, a BB will pop out during the bolt pull, and if I am pointing the barrel upwards, even a slight angle, that BB will roll through the nozzle hole in the hop up and enter the area where the cylinder is. Two things, check your mags feed lips, and when cocking the gun, don't point upwards. I used to think I had to take my gun apart on the field to clear it, did that a few times in 2005, but then learned I can just point the muzzle to the ground and shake & roll it, and the BB would fall out (with the mag removed of course).

Looks like this problem is a bit more common than it should be... szetor's also had broken hop up components. One side of the hop up pusher arm was broken (probably the same thing as yours), and the pin on the adjustment arm that slides in the groove was broken as well.

lol man... sounds like our gun have the same issues. That means you were getting little to no hop effect. I super glued mine back.. has been okay since.
