Chechen rebel

Hey there

I decided to follow the idea someone gave me and will start a Chechen rebel loadout. Now there is a lot of pics on the internet showing chechen rebels but they all seem to have different loadouts so I guess i'mlooking for something generic that could resemble a rebel from Chechnya.

For now I have the AK and Chicom chest rig which I think are both pretty necessary for a rebel loadout. Now, what else shall I wear? For BDU I was thinking a Russian BDU like VSR or Flora, but a lot of photos show them wearing much more common camo patterns (woodland etc.) and sometimes they're just plain OD. I was thinking, maybe OD pants and black shirt or something along those lines.

Some also tell me to wear a shemagh but I have yet to see actual Chechen rebels wear it.

Anyways here are a couple pics to help with the process.

For uniforms you can pretty much wear whatever combo you want as they had no real set standard just a mix of different uniforms/camos, etc of whatever they could get their hands on.

An as for the shemagh, yea I haven't seen any pics of them wearing the scarf either.

Also, are you going for the Chechen Rebel fighting in Chechnya? Or Chechen Rebel in Afghanistan fighting with Taliban an Al Qaeda?

In that case you'll need the shemagh, floppy felt hat, and manjamas...

But for camo, try to get mismatched stuff; even if the pieces are the same pattern, wash the sh*t outta one piece and go easy on another.

that floppy felt hat - Pakol is only worn by Afghans in Northern Afghanistan I believe. In Kandahar I didn't see any Afghans wearing the Pakol just a smaller type hat forget the name an turbans. An they'd probably be wearing their woodland BDUs not the Manjamies altough that could be possible if they are trying to blend in.

haha yeah that'd be an idea, although I do have a very old and used pair of woodland pants but they're tight as hell so I'd look stupid.

there militia varoius in camo and weapons , i think it depends on what weapons depot they stole from or what they picked off the dead , i have seen everything from mauser rifles to old shotguns to state of the art weaponry . I think perty much works as long as its warsaw pact weapons or shotguns or antuques .

yep VSr or Kamysh were pretty much my top 2 choices. I stumbled upon seemingly very rare Chechen patches on Ebay, dunno if ill buy them since they probably are new and dont really reflect the Rebel type.

anyways, great input guys, keep it coming

Get a dark blue track jacket...

Some mud...

A knitted balaclava...

A green headband...

And a lovely fur hat!

And don't forget to stand in front of the missileers when you tell them to fire...

Pakol's are actually everywhere, southern Iranian Balochi's, Pakistani's, Afghani's even frigging Bosnians as seen here (Nice DDR belt too)
