Question: Parts & ITAR

So, I apologize if this is in the wrong section.

I am interested in getting an ITAR restricted item (KMR Alpha) from the US (Bravo Company) up here in Alberta. What should I know? I've tried looking around, but no luck for useful information.

An American friend has this idea: I have the seller send the item to his address, and when I go to him for a visit I can bring the rail home on my trip back.

Is this legal? Would I require paperwork?

That is completely illegal and if you are caught, you may face severe penalties in the US. Canada doesn't give a shit.

Option 1:
- Email CTC Supplies, they will bring it in for you, but be prepared to pay a lot.

Option 2:
- Email Rainier Arms, you'll have to do some documents for them, take a photo of a valid ID and Visa Card, front and back for documentations; "$50 exemption processing, plus shipping $20-$30," back in 2014 when I got my Fortis Rev.

@BioRage Yeah, I was considering Rainier Arms for a bit, but had little knowledge. Good to know all it takes is an email to get started.

@Danke The KMR Alpha is not available in Canada. CTC has the normal KMR, which I don't want.
