cant get the flashhider off

hello all, I'm trying to get the flash hider off my cybergun galil, the box says it has 14mm- thread but I've trieed unscrewing in and it wont budge. I'm not positive but galils have the same flash hiders as M16's yes? do they just screw off or is there something holding them there? I looked at the bottom of the flash hider and there looks like a type of screw that holds it in place. its so tiny my eyes cant even adjust to tell what it is, it looks like a little allan key but it also looks just like a stripped out hole even though it was bnib with the wrapping still on it. I'm pretty sure it needs an allan key but my smallest is too large and I stuck a little screwdriver in there and confirmed its not a screw.

these are the best pics I could get of the mystery hole (hehe)

is that whats holding my flash hider in place? how small of an allan key do I need? or is there an airsoft tool I need to order?

how do I get this thing off?

For Imperial I don't know but, try a 0.9 MM that should work.

Ya, most airsoft guns require metric allen keys, if you find an Imperial size works, be careful, you might strip the screw, and if you do.............. pun intended........... you are screwed!!!! Lol

Well if the box says 14mm - then it's a counter clockwise thread meaning you will neet to screw it in for it to unscrew.... that and take the allen pressure screw off...

Meaning that 'Lefty loosey, righty tighty" doesn't apply. Is odd to unscrew something in a clockwise fashion.

wow that couldve helped my 10 minutes ago,

I lost my patience and drilled the little bastard out, grabbed some pliers, threw in some elbow grease and snapped off the remainder of the little screw and unscrewed the flash hider with the barrel threads intact for my new silencer

I guess "push came to shove" and your impatience worked out for you.
