Beretta Slide Problem

hey, i took the slide off my beretta to replace the trigger return spring, and now i cant get it back on. wen i go to push it back, it goes about 2mm past wer it normally sits. i cant see anything physically preventing the slide from going all the way back. ive taken the slide off before with no problem at all, but for some reason i just cant get it to slide back properly. if you have any ideas or solutions, please let me kno, i really wanna fix this problem quickly.

Thanks.

Check slide release lever. I sometimes take the slide off and lock it back and than slide won't mount properly.

its not the slide release lever, like theres no mounting problem wat so ever, i think is the barrel piece, it seems to be rubbing against the gun internals for some reason. i put some gun oil on it and maybe that will help it out. does anyone else have any suggestions?

i finally got the slide on, after trying for like 5 hours, but the problem now is it won't "slide". to make it move you have to put a bit of force into it, too much really. Also, when i fired off some shots, it blew the slide back, but then it would get stuck and not come back, i'd have to force it back. so im still open to any ideas and suggestions.

1 make sure there is no debris on the slid rail. 2 pull the slide off when you put it back on move the spring gide around as your puting the slide back on. 3 try some oil. 4 make sure non of the triger assembly has moved and is rubing. 5 dont know man your on your own

check that the spring guide is seated properlly where it should sit on the outer barrel, and that its not crooked, or sitting on a part it shouldn't. Did you sit on the slide or crush it while it was off as to cause it to be warped (assuming its metal KJW or WA/TM with metal slide). Are the rails on the frame straight, unwarped? There is not alot to gas guns.. Just systematically check all the parts that relate directly to the motion of the slide (ie. not many).

not i didnt touch the slide when i took it off, i just set it on the table. thats why this was so wierd, all the tracks on both the gun and the slide a clear of any kind of debry or obstruction, and i have the spring guide sitting perfectly. also, i oiled her up pretty good with gun oil, because i thought that maybe it was just metal on metal friction. its just rubbing on something i cant see. but i think its a plastic part becuase i dont see any recent wear marks on any of the metal internals. it almost feels like the slide shrank or the gun got wider.
