Short term? Nothing. But, removing your battery is a good idea for the following reasons:
- absolute method to safety the gun
- no potential for shorts during storage

Longer term, you should remove the battery and discharge it to store it. But there is no harm in leaving the battery in the gun between games if you play with any frequency. I generally recommend a visual inspection of the battery after each game and before and after charging to ensure the battery is in good working order and that there are no obvious signs of damage or failure. Look for frayed wires, bulges or any kind of external damage that may indicate a failure. Better to replace it before you discover a failure during a firefight.
