Yeah, unfortunately I as well. Starting to lean towards the Aimpoint T-1.

It's as if no one does any research before buying anything. They just blindly go out and buy products because of the name. I mean all these problems with EOTech are a huge issue, yet why didn't anyone point out these flaws earlier, like days, months, years earlier? Oy Vey. Don't be sad, hop a board the train, Aimpoint's got you. I heard NCStar makes some decent Sights too.

Perhaps not the extreme temperature POI shift debacle they are in currently (or the bad reticles that pestobana mentioned......tbh i havnt heard of this being a big problem), but bad Eotech QC have been very well known for a very long time. Go out there on mil/leo forums and you can read the many posts made many years ago by highly respected individuals who have seen a high flow rate of Eotechs new in box go straight to the bin. Most of this talk is about the 55x series though. Not so sure about the xps, or exps though. Last I read/saw, Delta was doing T&E on the XPS series.
But whats the reason why Eotech is so prevalent? Aside from the awesome reticule, it is much cheaper than Aimpoint. Perhaps not for individual purchases, but in bulk. Cheap enough that they can toss a couple of bad ones in the bin until they find one that works, or that its simply not their choice. In contrast, Aimpoints are still more expensive and a less attractive options for the penny pinchers.

Also, take notice that you`ll see a lot of highly respected vets who have gone through their entire military careers using Eotechs, use Aimpoints on their own personal equipment. Reason why? Quality. They know Aimpoints wont die out on them like an Eotech might. Difference is that Uncle Sam won`t be there to replace it.

when someone else is footing the bill it's easier to say mine broke can I get a knew one.

still I wouldn't mind snapping up a used Eotech. As long as the sights ain't jacked it'll still be better than anything airsoft quality.

+1 to that. Just bought a used 551 after getting pissed with the garbage quality of replicas failing on me. Always had a soft spot for Eotech. Love Aimpoints too but the ones I want just aren't in the budget atm.

I keep saying, if anything now is the time to buy Holosights for dirt cheap, because of nub wagon jumpers running around with their heads cut off screaming EOTECHS ARE THE WORSE!!!!!!

In general though, any RS sight (Even the piss poor ugly ass Russian Sights I find fugly) would be more then suitable for AIRSOFT usage, as Curo pointed out.

If only nig nogs didn't nig nog, but used logic instead.

I've had a H1, the reticule was pretty poop compared the XPS. Also dont like the slight greenish tint on the H1. Doesnt matter though...just get what you like. If it works it works! It's just airsoft, unless some of you are actually getting it to use for RS shooting/military career etc etc.

plus I'm trying to switch to a 1 battery type system. all future items (except sights that run on button type) must be Cr123. cause I have storage for them on my gun.

LOL or you could just get an Aimpoint... I don't really have to worry about changing the AA battery on my CompM4S. I'd have to leave it on the daylight setting for 8 years before I have to change it.
