Check if the valve knocker is retracted properly after the first shot.

Retracted into it's housing? Yup, it is doing so.

So the 2nd shot is so weak that the chambered BB doesn't come out? Try to remove the slide after the 1st shot and shoot your 2nd shot. The valve knocker should strike the magazine valve and gas will spew out. Did you try another magazine?

Well, now my slide is locked back permanently. It won't move back into position randomly anymore. Not really much of an improvement, though. How should I go back disassembly if I can't move the slide?

Valve knocker reset isn't complete, the knocker resets a few mm higher than it should be to hit the valve properly. Valve knocker spring needs replacement, then?

Open up the gun and check the interaction between the valve knocker and the valve knocker disconnector to confirm the engagement. Sometime the tension spring that hooks on to the valve knocker and anchored to the frame is out of place. You might also want to try to add some grease to ensure that the valve knocker can retract more smoothly.

Already checked that and it all works as it should. Just from eyeballing it though, it appears that the valve knocker itself doesn't appear to be resetting at the correct height.
Strikefreedom, I just confirmed that even when the valve knocker LOOKS out of place, it will still strike the valve with enough force to empty what remains in in terms of gas. Hammer spring? I figure that a kjw with red nozzle that is advertised as being co2 ready should have a strong enough hammer spring... Then again I have only tested with a single bb as a spacer in the MSH. |

Is this occurring with an empty magazine inserted?

No, this is happening with the gun completely clear of a mag. Since I took that picture, the gun has been locked in that position.

Well, let me know if you need me to look at it for you. It's hard for me to diagnose it for you over the forum like this. I bet I can find the source of the problem in less than 2 minutes of looking at it.

@juicy: Seems like the hammer assembly is fine. Try re-inserting the magazine firmly after the first shot. Likewise, try using another magazine.
@TaroBear: Is the nozzle in the forward position touching the hop up chamber? If it is, just push the slide forward and inspect the piston head and o-ring. |

StrikeFreedom, a tap/rack after the first shot makes it work. Seems to jar something or another into place. All 4x of the KJW magazines that I was provided do the same thing. I'll try to borrow a TM mag to test this with. Thanks.

I broke my bb follower on my kjw m1911a1 mag, where can I find a new? I think it's the same for TM.

I'm not aware of any replacements available on the aftermarket.
You'll probably have to order in an OEM one. I can order one for you, but it'll be a couple months till I can run my next order. |

Wheeew! I just read through the entire thread. Yay for slow days at work. I may be picking up a TM 1911 MEU in a few days so there could be a couple questions but from all the info I've absorbed off this thread, it seems I can almost diagnose any problem myself! Thanks to Brian especially for sharing his time and expertise with us.
