So just a Quality Control issue there probably...

NOT sure what FPS mag he is using... He may be using the higher FPS mag from Land Warrior Airsoft though....

FPS test G&G G980 review.mpg - YouTube

Shows maybe some Quality Control issue with the mags?

Dimensions are 5 cm x 4 cm x 2 cm

Fits perfect in my Pioneer pouch's pockets for Kar98 clips...

Hopefully I get the Kar98 soon

Wouldn't changing the clips out be a pain on the field?

not as much as carrying 4 or 5 mags. This would definitely be worth it IMO.

Switching the bb part is REALLY simple...

HOWEVER, I have 2 mags, and one of them I get the EXACT same problem as this guy at 12:30....
FPS test G&G G980 review.mpg - YouTube

I will probably have to drill a hole later in that second mag....

The other mag, the CO2 comes out without any effort...

The paper it says it is shooting 430 fps at 0.2g bbs..... But that is way off from what I'm getting..... I'm guessing the CO2 charges they use might be different pressures?

It weighs like a whole metal airsoft pistol? lol

I am gonna buy the 380 FPS mags once they come out of course... And I am gonna try some N2O's to see if they make any differences haha....

REALLY bad quality control if my second mag also has the same problem T.T

The mags are definitely heavier than my WE M4 mags.... Also heavier than my buddy's heavy ACM WA M4 mags if there's much of a difference? lol...

Wood looks really NICE, better than Ehobby's bad pictures lol.

That is probably only with some ASC retailers?

It's been available in Asia for over a month now though, so can be custom imported already. Shipping itself only takes a week or even less I guess, rest of the time it's in customs lol...

CO2 is too unpredictable FPS and ungameable until I can get my hands on the sub 400 FPS magazines... Until then, I have N2O 8 grams on the way that have lower PSI than CO2, although FPS will probably drop much faster, hopefully it will allow it to be gameable haha... (I don't mind changing the charger every 2-3 reloads if it works)

Some Pics? lol...

Kar98 weighs about 7.4 lbs
Magazine weighs approx. 1.6 lbs

Magnet test shows mix of Steel and I guess "Aluminum?"

Outer Barrel, Mag Catch, Rear Sight, Fake cleaning rod, Trigger are NOT Steel I guess...

Some weak magnetic pull can be detected around the bolt itself, so I'm guessing inside it may be Steel...
Front Sight is Steel, Metal Butt is steel...

Magazine, only the BB area is steel, and some weak magnetic pull can be felt on the side of the mag, which may be the tube where the CO2 travels...

Chromy thing you see on the bolt in the pics seems to be just some paint on either cheap metal, or maybe even plastic lol... But that part I think is just for looks.

Looking good!

Any early signs of wear on the bolt area/sear?

G&G will be updating the bolt on their K98, anyone who purchased the "V1" K98 is to contact an authorized dealer.
