Agreed. I will be in the Calgary area, starting in May for 8 months, not sure what type of venues are around, but I am sure the locals will be able to help me out, an' I will hopefully be able to pick up some new weapons, like a MG42 *drools* Shoei here we come!

Yes the Shoei MG is very nice, but I cant "accept" the fact it is driven by a gas tank. I think the tank is awkward, but I'm not sure wheter there are pieces available with electric motors.
But certainly the MG 42 is a must for ww2 reanacting, after all the German infantry tactics were based on it.

If you get it, how will you? Trough one of the retailers?
I hope you get it Kamarade so I can cover you in the future. :salute:

Yeah, there are electric ones, but the gas one has recoil, an' power. For me, I can take that tank and hide it in a modified gas mask canister or on a A-frame. I'll probably grill my local retailer, as he has been able to get EVERYTHING for me, an' faster then I've seen anyone else.

I know what you mean about the MG42. Our re-enacting unit had one but after my kamerad joined the other brave soldaten, his father was forced to put it up for sale, and I just don't have the 25,000 dollars to buy it. :S

25 000 $ did you type that correctly? 8-O

Ok so its a different story if you can hide the tank. How many shots can youget off with it and is it CO2?
I love the MG 42 my GF mentioned it a lot, also I had a privilage of touching one in a museum.
I know touching is nothing, but still IT saw WW2 and it is the Best MG out there in my opinion.
The MG-3 is proof of how good it is.

I wish I could let everyone fire it...mmm, I miss it

Yes, I did type it correctly. They are VERy expensive down in the states due to the regulations for bringing one into the country. That is to say, the regulations not allowing it to be brought it. All the ones they have are there because of the grandfather clause an' all that political fun.

It runs off of HPA tank with a regulator on it.

Any way lets get back to the topic title"101st airborne kit." Instead of more black plague german propagandas spread all over this WW1,WW2 area.
My question is Who has the best buy for the the proper color BDUs for 101st

My friend I hope the "black plague german propaganda" comment was a good joke. Ha und Ha ( I seriously believe it was a joke so no offence)

Altough you are right that this thread shall be returned to the screaming eagles.
You should check ww2militaria-kcs they have airborne gear for pretty good prices.
