I think SCARS need those EGLMs to counteract their big, fat, ugly ass stocks.

Hey guys, I figure the best place to ask about SCAR's is, of course, the SCAR thread. I'm trying to decide between a CA SCAR light, or the VFC SCAR light. I want both in black. I've handled both, so I know The VFC wins externally, though the plastic parts on the CA feel quite nice. However, I've never shot either, so I'm looking for opinions from those of you who've used them, and what you think. Thanks in advance gents.

well the CA SCAR is pretty much the same as the D-Boys SCAR that's what I have. I just used my last week for the first time and it was fabules, really quiet, good rate of fire, and good distance on .20 bbs. didn't get a chance to use .25 bbs.

I have heard of some strange issues with VFC's internals before.. Unsure if they have fixed this as of late.

But the CA, my brother has one, and the internals are beauty. Still bone stock, and it works great. 9.6V mini in the stock, and it delivers great rate of fire! Nice sound to the box too, once you adjust the motor height. Shim job seems pretty decent for factory-done

slsd00041, the CA and the DBoys aren't the same, lol.... And the DBoys is a VFC clone anyways, so if it has to be close to one of these, it's certainly not the CA^^

That is actually the worst video on airsoft SCARs going around.

Whining about the colours not being all one tone of FDE, the real ones are not one tone of FDE. Check out pictures from the SHOT show.

VFC rattles in the case? Close the lid?

Anyways there are a ton of threads on here about SCARs if you read up. If I was getting one this spring I would be looking at the gas ones instead of AEGs.

Thanks for the advice guys. I've watched that video, and while I found it funny, and somewhat informative, they did nitpick about a few useless issues. I've looked into getting a gas SCAR, But given our rather unstable climate, I figure it might be a pain to use all the time. I think for now i'm sticking with an AEG, just for reliability's sake. Maybe down the road this year, if it stays reasonably warm, I'll pick one up. It sounds to me like CA is the way to go. I've always been a huge CA fan and advocate, but, since I've heard a lot of good things about VFC, I figured I'd get some advice from people who use them. It sounds like the extra money for the VFC is going into trades and a bolt catch.
