you'll be "18" in a few hours, but as LONG as that AV tag is NOT under your name, we WON'T help you out.

"I'll-be-18-tomorow-sir-just-check-out-my-ID" still doesn't get you cigarettes and booze.

That would be Tanaka.

The only really other game worthy K98 would be the Tanaka, all others are are junk without heavily modding a VSR-10 into.

The G&G is far more affordable and 10x easier to get then the Tanaka.
Though the G&G is a Tanaka clone, it is hard to say how it will perform until some reviews start showing up.

I'm just wondering about magazine compatibility of the Tanaka. I have 5 of those and if they work it will definitely add to the decision to pick one of these up.

I'm not too sure on the availability of those 8 gram Co2 cartridges although they will be much more reliable.

Anyone know the minimum effective operating temperature of Co2 rifles, namely bolt actions?

I think the manufacture of Tanaka Kar98's have stopped a long while ago.

While the Dboys kar98 is around, its useless without putting work and dedication into it.

Kinda funny, but there seems to be a trend, that asian airsoft companies keep alternating between the spring/gas shell-ejector system, followed by the gas/internal magazine method .
Like every 2 year

Marushin Kar98
Tanaka
Dboys
and now G&G

Whats next?!

I own(ed) the previous three before, but this time won't be going for the G&G haha

Rest assured, they most likely won't be fitting....
I hope I'm wrong!

These seem easy enough to get:

Scroll down, lots of bulk sizes...

8g CO2 sparklets are sold at kitchenware stores found in malls. They are used to charge kitchen items such as whipped cream dispensers.

N2Ocomes in the same size 8g sparklet for the same kitchen purpose.

Haven't the foggiest if N2O would be good or bad for the G & G G980

Edit: meant N2O not NO2....last time I was in a chemistry class I had a full head of hair and owned a Sony Walkman.

N2O will oxidise and cause the metals to deteriorate faster I think...

N2O is all gas, while CO2 is liquid->gas so CO2 can also store more.
