Haha nope I am now just making sure it was the motor and not the ECU before I go buy one pr the other. If anyone knows or has a verified tac motor let me know.

Tony does have a warranty on his motors. Or at the very least he might cover a rewind cost and only charge the general service portion.

If you know where the motor came from, contact him and see what he says.

It is pretty rare for one of his to die. I have seen two, and both times he covered it under warranty. Just paid the service fee.

No one in Canada carries PTWs anymore, or currently as far as I know. Also, we can't tell anyone who isn't verified where to buy guns if we knew.

There are a bunch of reliable PTW docs I believe, what's the problem? Is it the motor? Usually it's the motor.

Open up your reciever. On your front optics board there is a red light that will blink. Plug in your battery and flip your gun onto semi, the red light should blink once. Pull the trigger, if the gun doesn't cycle and the red light starts blinking at a steady pace, it's likely your motor, and your armature need a rewind.

It could be any number of things of course, but 9/10 times its that. Damage does PTWs. He may be under Damage Inc on the boards, I can't remeber. Anyways, he's in BC. I can do quite a few things as well depending on the problem.

He's shipping it out to me, from what I gather it's mostly likely the pinion on the FCC 3.0 either wore out, or slipped down on the shaft causing a horrible screechy noise.

Do you have to only change the pinion gear?

Best case scenario, the weaker fcc pinion slipped down and only damaged itself. Worst case is it slipped under load and wore a flat spot in the bevel gear as well, which would require a new bevel. I won't know until I actually get the gun and look at it.

I usually just dremel out a grip to fit it. It doesn't take much work to do it.
