How about this?? Would this work?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Western-Arms-SPR...QQcmdZViewItem I really wondering if the cap would fit in the WE 1911? because if the cap fit I pretty sure this would work. |

my WA isn't an SCW version, so I dunno for sure if the cap is the same dimension or not (given that they're specifying it's for SCW I suspect it might be). Ditto on the recoil spring guide.

WA parts will fit on the WE, i've used WA parts to replace the bushing and barrel lock on a TM already. WE is a clone of the TM. If you're still in search of these parts lemme know and i'llsee if i can find some in my parts bin.
As well, you can find the spring bushing from illusion in the parts section. As for the barrel lock... that will have to be replaced from overseas, but you can ask illusion to custom order that part as well. You can also ask madmax or arnie for used WA parts, they usually have a bunch kickin around. |

Ive only ever fired my we 1911 maybe 3 mags worth, taken it to one game this year and had it holstered the whole time. Took a look at it today and found that front bushing gone.

that exact thing happened to me the little ring came off and so i thought it was just a spacer so i took it off and it hit against the bushing and it bent it off

Oh ! you come from the state, Lucky man ! Don't be cheap buy a new one. The reason, I want to fix it because gun in Canada is just way too expensive than the state. If I were, I would just through it away and buy a new one. By the way, super glue doesn't work at all, I already tired it and it will break after a few rounds through it.

Not a gripe, but just FYI, I've got the same problem with my WE 1911: broken bushing & spring recoil cap. Seems to be a fairly common issue.

@incrediboy: try JB Weld or something instead of superglue. Follow the directions and give it time to set properly. For metal I think it'll perform better than superglue.
@everyone else: remember you can use WA bushings (there are some steel ones) and I suspect real steel recoil spring plugs can be used (maybe with a bit of modification): still waiting for mine.
