G36C Woes

So how big should the gap be? Smaller than the bb because the nozzle pulls back and a bb goes up then the nozzle pushes the bb forward into position? ie half the bb is showing from the bottom view just before the bb is going to be shot?

No, you didn't have the same problem I'm pretty sure. The Pro-win hopup for the G36 attaches to the mechbox, and that was my problem.

No gap at all. The nozzle should be pushed all the way in.

So in the first pic above, the pro win should be sitting flush against the mech box front? No wonder you were having bad fps and other problems. thanks for the info btw.

ALso curious to know if the pro win requires you to cut off a piece of the mag well like some other hopup systems say:

Hehe, yeah......oh boy. No wonder I was having FPS problems. Huge air leak anyone?

The only 'fix' that was needed was, don't cut up the screws that come with the hop-up. They're meant to screw the hop-up onto to the mechbox.

hmm i just got my hopup today and just wondering why there is no screw in the plastic packaging? i just got a plain prowin hopup and a tag paper, is that suppose to be any screws??

and all i know that the screw you guys meant, is to attach to the hopup and the gearbox is testing the them without putting them into the receiver.... CMIIW

And the mechbox attached to the lower???

Then how can you screw the thing on??????? Trough the fake bolt opening??

Yeah, that's the problem. I just finally decided to not screw it in. I just didnt attach it to the front assembly and used the barrel spring and let it sit there pushed against the mechbox. Did you guys read my other thread though? Can you take a picture of a normal G36 hopup and nozzle, so I can tell if there's the correct amount of space? My gun seems to be shooting with enough force now, but it's misfeeding. If the nozzle and hopup orientation is correct, then I'll know Pro-Win hopup + Private Parts magwell conversion = bad.

I remember reading that the screw on option was for testing it attached to mechbox when outside your gun. Really its the spring on the outer barrel that will hold the hop up flush to the mechbox front.

I managed to install one screwd to the mechbox.

I had to split the body in two and swear for a good 2 hours just to close it.

BUT

I found that it works wonders when not screwed to the mechbox.
Also, Deepfire brass nozzle DO NOT WORK with it.

The solution for me was installing a regular G36 hopup, and getting regular G36 magwell.

Now thats exciting. I'm gonna give it a try on one of my Star G36s. i'll let you know the results....
