For CO2 mags, either the WE or the GHK for the WA system, they both need some tweaking to work how they should.
Plus, if you go for an M4 I strongly advise you buy an RS wrench for the stock ring and barrel nut, they hard to screw properly without that. For the high FPS semi thing, no, I use a GBBR (G36 right now, worked fine at -1 degree Celsius with gaz mag by the way) because I like using semi only (and I put 5/6 round on target in 2 seconds anyway ) and AEG are in any way as responsive as a GBBR, plus without MOSFET they have a tendancy of getting stuck in the middle of cycle when I shoot fast in semi. One thing that works well in winter with gas mag : put a chemical warmer in your pouch or tape one on the mag, with the temperatures we have it will keep it around 20 degree, it will be perfect |

My take on GBBR
Pros: -Maximize Firearm parts compatability (though you have to be conscious about some parts, they will fit but do you really want to stick a AR-15 hammer spring in it? etc) -Realism, No bb fall out when you pull mag out (greatly favor tactical reload as opposed to full reload) Operation is much more like a firearm -Prevent the airsoft slipping into paintball style of high cap spray n pray, and stockless shooting (in full auto good luck getting a good grouping over 75 feet without shouldering the stock) -Less parts, less problems, easier to fix (If you're familiar with firearm internals, it takes very little time to transition to GBBR) -Higher velocity stock, this helps with import for Canadians a lot and keeps the prices down. CONS: -Leaky gas magazine, this gives people really big headache, particularly WA and WE system. KJ, KSC had to least reported issue with this -Expensive magazine, price adds up quickly, 6 magazine loadout you're looking at $300 already. Gone are the days of fielding 10+ magazine, it's expensive -Material matters, pot metals will wear out quickly, see WA bolt carriers and charging handle, WE firing pin. Soft steel will also give up fast RA-Tech bolt carrier is the one I could think of. -Temperature sensitive, currently the lowest temperature a GBBR can work is around 5 degrees (30 rounds in one fill) GBBR like 20 degree+. Above 35+ you're going to run into fps problem (Personally saw a guy's GBBR chrono 650fps on 0.4g aka 12.2 firearms) -Velocity, you ultimately need to have an fps adjuster to avoid shooting 450fps+ gun. Here's couple of companies Magna: Notorious for being most expensive WE: Used to be poor quality, WE has step up alot since then KJ: Considered to be the only good out of the box reliable ready GBBR VFC: less magazine leak issue, poor material causing Bolt carrier and charging handle to fail KSC: Currently too new to tell, based on their record, it can't be worse than VFC or Magna system. |

I've been running a GBBR, WE M4A1 Carbine, ALL this past summer season and a few times at TTAC3 since. Love it, only thing I had to do was drop in an NPAS due to mine being the version that fired faaar too hot. It's completely stock with the exception of the NPAS. Love it, airsoft has become MUCH more fun since getting it. Like Brian Mentioned, there have been FTF games where the majority of guns were GBBRs, mostly WE if I remember correctly and TTAC3 games that have been all GBBR, the sound alone is nothing short of game changing

Gas guns like the higher FPS .. and players respond more realistically to the potentiality of getting shot if it hurts like a biatch Also the realcap mags really reduce the incidence of auto fire..

I want to see engagement ranges push out to something a little more realistic, We saw a significant reduction in the "out of range dancers" last season, many of them ended up shot with a hot gun... My field gun is shooting at 430 with .30, it reaches

I've gamed my we scar a few times. The hop up is very inaccurate and has been replaced 3 times. Shoots good up to 100 feet until the hop up kicks in and it goes all over the place. Also it's best to have a ton of mags and a good set up for carrying them. If you only have like 4 mags, you can't really support other players, you have to make sure your shots count. Which I personally like. The gun needs a lot of Ra-tech upgrades or stuff starts to break.

FPS limit is one of my concerns as well. I like SMG type GBBs but a few of the new ones like the KWA KMP9 shoots like 410fps... So far I don't think u can downgrade the fps..
But for sure I agree it makes the game more realistic and it MAKES people call hits better as well lol... |
