Like wives, I have had a few Missing are a couple of 416 variants as well as a sweet G3 and a couple of KJ USP P8s and a USP compact. I think I have covered most of the HK airsoft variants of some sort.

What exactly is the process of installing these things onto a G3? I'm currently in the market for a new AEG, and i'm debating whether to get a G3a3 to spice up with one of those wood kits, or getting an M4 (ugh, lol)

Amos would know more then I do, he recently built one.

From what I have read and studied on my current G3, The but stock needs to have some screw lugs removed, then shave down the stock a bit.

Dont remove the protrusion completely, just enough for the mount that attaches the stock to the body to fit correctly.

the inside of the forgrips need to modified slightly to that they slide on the rifle as if they were on rails (on my TM anyways, not sure about other brands)

The stock has plenty room for a lipo and MOSFET, or you can run a normal 9.6V battery on the following config. I had to have them custom made form www.cheapbatterypacks.com, came out to under $50 CAD shipped for 2 1700mAh Elite 9.6V batteries, wired in #14 DEANS. <- I highly recommend these guys. Very fast on making the battery, comms and shipping. They did a superb job on my order, and you cannot beat the price!

This battery fits very well inside, its not snug at all.

Hope that helped :S
I am not expecting to many issues.

you guys have installed more wood on G3's then the Bundeswehr.. The wood stocks weren't that common. The early Cetme based prototypes used wood....and some of the early export models did as well....but the G3 has had plastic furniture since the A1 series.....
cool way of making a gun look older though......

I just cant get enough of it.

I the feel of the wood is just soooo much better then plastic too

Makes it look expensive too, people will pay... I know I did. But that was back when metal bodies cost 3 human souls.

Id love to get an FAL wood kit too...

I sold my HK53 and missed it, so I built another. It is a CA33KA3 with an MC51 cocking tube and a real steel HK53 handguard. It requires swapping the parts from the CA33 cocking tube into the MC51 tube. It fits a small 7.4v lipo or a butterfly 11.1 lipo (like the King Arms 1100 mah lipo.) I also just use either a cut down CA33 barrel, or in this case, I had one custom made (can't remember the length, though.)
