I get it from Double Tap. I don't have a problem getting it, and I have been doing so many cylinders lately that I am on my third tub this year.

You don't use very much of it. If you are using it just for yourself, one tub should last years.

Cylinder grease I mean.

Using more than 15C is not only fine, but recommended. It is better to have more capacity in your battery than too little, and 15C is low limit for sure. 20C is better, and easy enough to find and fit most of the time.

I'd say 15C is the absolute minimum. At 12C we noticed the ROF drop, which means the motor wasn't getting enough current, which means the LiPo would have been damaged after prolonged use....which they were lol

I have been thinking more and more about switching to LIPOs with my PTW, because I am tired of the shittyness of NiCads. Do i need to upgrade my electronics or will it be ok, My PTW was purchased through DTT in 2011. Any specific brand Lipo I should be looking into? I know good lipo's are the way to go, and i have heard great things about FireFox.

Pretty much any 20C lipo that will fit in the buffer tube will be fine. We are usually running at sub-420, and current draw should be about 20A at 11.1V. So, for a 1200mah 20C battery, it should be capable of delivering 24A. I used a 25C lipo this weekend, it is a little longer than the 20C, but not unusable.

for now i will be running it in the PTW crane stock, does the 25C need an after market short board in the tube, or does the stock one work with the battery in the tube. Just in case i want to switch to a different stock later.

You will need a shortened board if you want to run any lipo in the buffer tube. The 15-20C will fit in the crane stock, the 25C will not.

20C lipo it is! And I'll look into switching out the board when/if I switch stocks. Thanks

Hobby King is my new source for batteries and I can't complain at all for the price.

Hobby King Airsoft Batteries

The 1.4's fit great in my stock systema tube.

Sales@doubletaptactical.ca is not working?
