Thanks for the info....I'll look into those KA Mid Caps but to tell you the truth I get a little bit of satisfaction playing with the Low-Caps. Knowing I need to be "smart" with my ammo and the added stress of reloading under fire.

yes, but at 10$ a mag vs for a tm mag 50$... it's a whole lot nicer on the wallet.

This blew my mind lol.
I went out of my way looking to replace my old integrated RDS on my CA p90, and eventually found a tri rail. I then put my Acog on that...but then realised the height over bore sighting problems. Seeing this...its just so simple... I immediately took my tri rail off and zip tied my acog to the frame and it lowered the sight by more then 2 inches. I don't have a chance atm to test the sight but it will be a much better `hover over` target now. Quote:

For people with their king arms p90 ultra grade, do you have a quick spring change and 9 mm bearing gearbox ? Or 6mm bushing gear box ?

I was asking cause I ordered a drop leg from them and after a month I got no shipping notification, and no replies to my e-mails. I was going to make a long distance call to them when it suddenly appeared in my mailbox.
Everything is good quality except for the buckles. Even when buckled in, they are slightly lose and they make a loud click, clack noise when I walk. There's no way I can be stealthy wearing it. Slightly disappointed.

There is my silent TM P90
External: -Rubber buttstock -CA metal upper with integrated reddot and rail -Unknow foamed silencer -IR filter -G&P G2 taclight -Custom sling attachment Internal: -Full TM -Fully foamed to reducing the noise Love my new TM P90, with little modification (foam in the body and a silencer) the gun is quiet. Inside a basement, at 10meters you can't find from where shot come. And outside... It's hard to listen when the gun is firing itself. This new one will be my baby for the night actions for sure

Could never feel comfortable holding my p90, sold it to a friend (was the plan when i bought it-needed a spare bulpup while tar21 was down) tar 21 always felt difficult to aim. for me the magpul pdr became the perfect bulpup option, aims like an m4, very comfortable and even a little more compact than the p90 (and no feed issues). Having said that, I do have to say how much I liked the ease of repair and upgrade on the p90.

Well i just joined the p90 club. I got the King Arms P90 tactical KA-AG-93-BK the fancier one with the nylon fiber body metal upper and quick change spring. Im torn on which way i should go for mags tho. I like the 168 round mid cap mags, but i dont know if they fit the king arms.
I know king arms has the 100 round mid caps. But is that going to be enough? Then there is the bastard child of p90 mags.... the box mag... i like the idea of using a lonex m4 mag and having enough bbs to just spray forever. I emailed evike and the tech said that i have to use something to space the box mag back further for it to feed? Has anyone got a king arms p90 to work with the box mag? how did you space it? If i can get the box mag to work i think ill buy it and a set of mid caps. |

Congratz on the purchase!
I usually run 2 low caps and a high. Start with the 2 lows, and then the high cap was last. Majority of the time I'd never get to the high. (Or I would but I'd never get more than a dozen or shots off) The 100 round mid caps are more than enough. I'm not a fan of the box mag on the P90.

The 168 Mid Caps you speak of I assume are the MAG, from my last experience with them they didn't feed the greatest, but that might be do to the set up I was running at the time (My P90 never liked mid caps, but it also has had many problems in the past haha). I know they worked fine for others though. I personally run 5 - 68rnd Low Caps. I rarely am even able to get through 2 mags as long as I am using Semi only. Once I switch to Full Auto though, I tend to go through my magazines quite quickly. I think if you picked up either the King Arms 100rnd, Silverback 150rnd, or MAG 170rd Mid Caps you should be fine. All P90 magazines will fit and should work in your gun. Avoid the abomination that is the "box mag", unless you want to be ridiculed (heavily), also most box mags, at least in Ontario are banned from use unless it exists in real life and is an actual support gun. My thinking when it comes to the P90 box mag is, why the hell buy a P90 to use a stanag magazine with it? Should just stick with getting a PDR, Tavor, L85, or a damn AR haha. Anyways I wrote a guide for P90s below which might help, if you have any more questions let me know. Welcome to the family! |

the silverback mags aren't available anymore.. every time I check always sold out or unavailable, so probably best not to hold your breath for them.
I have not had issues with MAGs aside from not being able to max fill them. The best compromise would be the KA midcaps. They're far more affordable than the fake bullet mags, but if you want photo ops, you should get a couple of them just to look good. :P my vest has pouches for 6 mags, though I'm working on a rig that will do 8 right now. Just have to figure out the kydex pattern to make it work.

I've heard that the mag mid caps don't work with king arms. Have any of you tried them first hand?

I don't have the KA p90 so I can't tell you for sure. They're very sensitive to the finish of the BBs you use. ones with stickier polish will load and unload with issues, whereas bastards with a very smooth/slick finish will load and unload very well.
Only way to find out for sure is to find someone local to you who has those mags and try them... or take the chance and buy them and try.
