CA M15 metal body/disasembly combo problem

Well this isn't exactly my problem, it's talraga's but since I'm the guy he goes to too fix his guns and I'm only guessing on whats wrong I've decided to ask. The problem is the back end (part with forward assist) of the upper receiver has widened, causing the gun to wobble a little, I think it's because the CA receiver
which is only connected by the front pin causing a pivot point is allowing the mech box to bend out the upper receiver, so far I've minimized the wobble by simply taking the receiver apart and squeezed it until it bent inward a little bit but the wobble just won't go away 100%.

any help would be nice as this is a stumper for me... >.> also if I'm right on why this happened then I'll be so turned off by CA guns that I'm never gonna get one of my own..


for those of you who can't picture what 'm talking about, here is an actual picture of it, I just did this using photoshop it's not his gun, the problem is that the receiver is open along the red line.

Wobble is mostly caused by the pins being loose.. if they are tight when installed the top shouldnt wobble at all. How easy is it to get those pins out?

very hard, they are quite tight.

Get a rear body pin?

??? you mean for the rear upper to attach to the lower?? CA can't do that it's a "easy disassembly body"

CA Armalite bodies are only help on by the front pin. The rear pin only holds the mechbox in.

It's the same setup on my C8 metal body on my TM M4, and I have a tiny space along that same line as well and the shiny mechbox metal shows up a bit upon close inspection. However, there's no wobble at all on mine.

And the fit is perfect on my M15. I had the upper receiver off on the weekend, and it went back on perfectly.

found out what the problem was, on closer inspection I noticed two little circles on the back of the upper and realized there is supposed to be 2 little tabs on the back of it that act as an anchor point so the gun doesn't pivot on the front pin.... well both of them are broken and now we need to squeeze the upper receiver every once in awhile so it grips the mech box and uses it as an anchor. Well needless to say Talraga is pissed and unless I can find a drill that'll fit just right so I can put new pins in it Talraga might have to buy a new body -.-'

Broken tabs, that's a common M4/M16 problem. I thought it only affected TM plastic models.

My CA M15 has no rear tabs at all. I slide the upper receiver onto the lower, and it locks with the front pin only.

thats wierd... this one has 2 little circles at the very back that I have never noticed before any of the many times I have cracked this thing open before.

What he's talking about are the 2 pins on the CA upper receiver that mate into two holes on the lower receiver, just under the charging handle.
