TM Hi-Capa 4.3 Hop-up

Hello all,

I've tried seaching for threads similar to the problem that i have but I couldn't find anything, but if there is feel free to delete this thread.

I just recently began to fiddle with the hop-up of my hi capa 4.3. For all of you who don't know the 4.3 uses Marui's tool-less dial hop-up adjustment system. Anyways my question is that is it normal to set the hop all the way to the max and achieve the best result (range wise) with .20 bb's?

With my other guns when the hop is set to max they often don't shoot (due tothe bb's getting stuck) or after a few meters or so the BB's sail right up to the sky. Any input on this is much appreciated

Thanks for your time.

aaa.. you set the hop up to the setting in which the bb travels strait as far as it can. You don't just set the hopup to the max you have to fine tune it.

If you hopup is set to the max, depending on the bb wieght the BB will most likely go up. Is you BBs going down? whats the distance of the target your shooting at? and you realize the BB will only go so far before wind and other factors kick in and it will drift up, down, left, right.

I've had the Hi-capa 5.1 I shot .25s out of it but it had a slew of upgrades in it. My hopup was set in the middle is it shot very straight.

it's very possible that your hop up rubber is still covered in lube/grease/oil. Fire another 200-300 rounds through it and see where it's "hopping" at that point.

Eddie, the BB's are not going down just in a straight line till it falls down in an arc. shooting in an open field where there is no target limit.

thanks for your help guys! I'll try shooting all that grease off my hop-up rubber and see what happens from there.

Sorry I cant give you any exact numbers as I don't have a chronograph but with 134a It can't penetrate one side of a coke can. It leaves a big dent almost going through but doesn't actually succeed in penetrating it. This might just be due to the cold weather though =p

fixed the hop-up problem. I took apart the gun and found out that the metal piece that depresses on the hop-up rubber was not aligned properly. With a little adjustment the metal piece depresses on the rubber with more force now.

Thanks for all that helped!

ps: jStyl3z, i'm not too sure about the fps guidelines sorry =(
