TM M9 performing like springer - cock and shoot?!

Hey I got a TM M9, and when I dry fire it, ( with gas in the mag but no ammo) the slide locks back after every shot, but after 3 shots, the slide will not lock back and the gun will become eccentric. After each shot, the hammer may be in the upward or downward position and the slide will not lock back anymore.

The I tried with ammo. Strangely, the first few shots also were fine, but after a while the bullet will only come out on alternate shots, ie the 3rd, 5th...etc. on the others, the hammer will cock and go forward but nothing happens.- similar to firing your m9 with an empty mag of gas.

BTW im using HFC134A all the while.

When I tried cock and shoot on every shot, it can work fine. Whats wrong? Also problems include the trigger position is sometimes different after firing.

not enough gas.

Are you filling it upside down?
Give it a good 5 sec fill and try again.

Your just not getting an liquid in there, so the first few shots are fine and then nothing.

Nope cant be because my first dry firing run managed to get about 15 shots out, and only the first 3 did the slide lock back. Cld TOP gas help? Although I think the problem lies deeper than that. Weak hammer/ too stiff recoil spring perhaps?

Hmm...not quite as old as my TM Beretta which I've had for 7 years now. I just recently put a nine ball hammer spring a fire fly rocket valve in it. But after half a year, it's odd that it's acting like that. Have you ensured the rails are lubed nicely (the rails the slide is guided onto). Do you ever store your Beretta with the hammer cocked?

I just let one of my pals take a look at it he could not discren the problem and he put a whole shitload of lube on it now its practically swimming in lube, but still no change in the performance. nah I never store the gun with hammer cocked (downward position)

Maybe I shld just write it off and get a new one.

you're using wuss gas, IMO... Any time I used "duster" or 134a in the TM berettas I used, they wouldn't function.

That, combined with whatever grit and fine particulate matter has collected in the tracks of the slide, and soforth, is probably producing enough friction on the slide to make the cooldown stop your gun.

Take er' apart, clean very well, LIGHTLY oil and wipe, then try again.

Also
- hammer spring could be wimping out.
- Could be a valve problem - borrow another magazine to check that

Don't overlube your guns. That's more detrimental than helpful. A thorough cleaning and an extremely thin layer of oil will be best. Thick lube collects debris and shit more quickly than anything.

Youre all the way in Singapore and asking questions here, half a planet away? Dont you have local experts?
And yeah, to most of us 'Spore' means nothing.
Someone needs to look at the gun again, charge it with gas the right way, and test it.
