Cool general AEG care

Howdy.
I'm wondering what sort of general care should be given to my AEG?
I've read about greasing the internals and the mags.
How exactly do I go about doing this? and what sort of "grease" should I use?
would WD-40 work for say, the mag?

I've noticed the odd jam, and I read that it can be attributed to the mag. A little grease is supposed to solve the problem... is this true? how and what to do?

thanks for any help.

Rid.

Most people are going to tell you to check the FAQs and it's a good place to check out.

As for your mags jamming it's a regular occurence in most cases. As for your 'grease' inquiry, I believe grease is only to be used inside the mechbox on gears and such. If you would like to make sure everything is nice and lubed up use ONLY 100% silicone oil! Put a few drops inside a loaded magazine then fire of the magazine. It will put a trace of the oil inside the areas where jamming most often occurs. It's very important that you only use 100% silicone oil because theres something in other oils (I think they're called petroleum distilates) and they eat away at your hop-up rubber. You can get "Shock Oil" which is used for RC cars as hobby stores. You can also get silicone oil from a few retailers.

You find a 'doctor', and ask him/her to show you. Honestly.
Or, equally honestly, you dont touch/modify the gun at all.

And you could read through the Information section... that information has been posted before.
You can also choose to ignore this advice and use WD40 like you planned. And yes, you can hate me for saying all this too.

Is it me greylocks, or are you a biggot?
I've read the info, doesn't tell ya much. I just asked some questions, and you give me bullshit like usual.
I didn't say I planned on using WD-40, I asked if it was useable.

You act like im incapable of doing anything right. No way can a person like me put some silicone oil in my mag. It would just destroy it. But an experienced person can easily handle that.

Next time, if you don't have any real advice, just hit the power button on your computer, and fuck off.

He makes a valid point if you are looking towards anything other than just putting some silcone oil on your mag.... It's a good idea to see if you can hunt down a gun doctor to have them show you, rather than break it and be bummin' because you broke your gun.

Valid or not, he could've said it in a nice way like you Gandar. Instead he just acts like the high and mighty wise man of all life and knowledge.

Thank you everyone, other than greylocks.

A bigot would hate you because you are a minority of some kind. You're just lazy.

The Punisher told you to read before I did, you did not.

The two best points of advice I gave you first, you ignored. Greasing the internals goes far beyond spraying something in there, or adding drops of silicone oil (free hint) into openings. Taking those guns apart is a real pain in the ass.

So, again, two major truths; find a local expert and watch, or leave the gun completely alone.

So read some more, listen, or fuck off. Your gun, your choice.

Want a real flame? You said you needed medication for a behavior disorder. Behavior Disorders and guns dont mix. Call that bigotry if you want, I call that 'basic safety'.

Now that was a flame. Happy?
