Firing issue
Hey, I've been having problems with my G&P M4A1 recently.
Well, right now I have 2 problems: 1) When I press the mag release button, the mag doesn't drop out. I have to use considerable force to pull it out. 2) When I shoot, it often dry fires. I have to take out the mag and put it back in and it will sometimes go back to normal for 4-5 more shots. Any help is appreciated. Thanks-VM |

Different rifle, the TM M16A2. But the same kind of thing happened to me. One day it worked the next day it was shooting one or two shoots then dry firing then I took out the mag and put it back in the it would shoot for a few shoots. The only thing mine is not experiencing is the mag getting stuck.

Sounds like 1/ Typical metal body problem a teammate has with his M4s, the mags tend to be hard to shove in and hard to remove. 2/ Wouldn't happen to be having the misfiring problems with hicaps, would you? I have the same problem now with my MP5 and hi caps, and the said teammate of mine has the same issues with his G&P SPR when using hicaps or C-mags. Only low & mid caps feed consistantly in these guns. Not sure exactly how to fix it though.

You may have to tighten/adjust the loading ramp. Not sure how you go about doing this but the info's out there.

What exactly will adjusting the loading ramp do?
I did some googling and I couldn't find any if the like. Anyone have experience doing this? I'm relatively stupid when it comes to modifying my Airsoft rifle but I'd love to learn how to fix this myself =) |

I think she's refering to the part found on the TM M16 variants, a piece that makes a ramp or chute between the nozzle and the breech of the hop up. Have found it on numerous stock SR-16s and M4s I've worked on, but the G&P SPR doesn't have it.

So I'm assuming nobody knows why my M4's mag sticks in the rifle?
I don't see any physical difference from the first time I put the mag in... so my mind is boggled. |
