G26 Mag is sticking...

Hey,

The mag for my TM G26 has been giving me problems, pretty much since I got it... Just never bothered to figure out why, or how to fix it...

Now it's just starting to get to me :P

The mag is supposed to hold 15 BBs. I only ever put in 10, reason being that when I fill the mag to capacity, it sticks.

So I put in 15 BBs, pop the mag in the gun, cock it, take a shot. It fires. Now if i take another shot, (or 10 more shots, for that matter), the gun cycles, but it doesnt load a BB after the first one. When I drop the mag, I see that the first BB is missing, and the other 14 are still there, but the spring doesnt push them up to the very top.

The spring is stil very very very springy, it's not that...
Something inside the mag must latch onto and stick to the plastic piece that pushes the bbs to the top...

And it REALLY holds on to it too... I can't even budge it with my fingernail, I have to use a key (or other hard object) and use quite a bit of force to push the BBs up the to top, so I can take my next shot... Gah!

Always happens.

I've tried adding 2 drops of AI light silicone oil to the inside where it sticks, and i pulled the spring up and down a bunch of times to work it all over the inside... But still, it sticks...

I've looked in the manual... the disassembly part, the mag doesn't look -too- complicated. I could take it apart and try to determine whats causing the problem, but I'm a bit hesitant.

Figured I'd ask for opinions and suggestions here first...

Anyone?

Thanks,
Mir

Hmm.......Have you dropped your magazine on any hard surfaces?

That very well may cause the nub you pull down so you can load in bb's to smack into the inner wall of the bb's resivor and make a dent into it that it sticks in.

what brand of BBs are you using? If you're using Guarder or AE, that's your problem. They're too large to properly fit into the BB track. I have the same problem with my 7 TM Hi-Capa mags and TM P226 mag.

Was using Excels...

And no, I haven't dropped my mag...

Is taking it apart a bad idea? Will I ever get it back together?

Thanks,
Chris

Using guardier .2's (coincidentally the ones that you sold me, ILLusion) in my TM G26...

I had a problem like that... Think it was some sand from splatters or somthing.
Q-Tip and rubbing alc worked fine. Now back in action!
