Gas magazine leaking at the fill valve. How do I tighten it?

I've tried spraying silicon on it and that helps slightly, but it still leaks.

1) Do I need a special tool to tighten that valve? I tried using a flathead screwdriver, but it doesn't seem to fit right, it's either too small or too large.

2) Where can I buy replacement o-rings? I went to the hardware store, but all their rubber o-rings are too large.

Those tiny Orings can be very hard to source, I found some in a 300pc oring kit that I found in a plumbing supply short in town here. However out of 300 orings I only got 3 of the actual size that I needed. Not very economical in my opinion.

Have you tried removing the fill valve entirely and submerging the orings in an silicone oil bath for a few hours or over night before reinstalling them?

If that still doesnt help you could always purchase new fill valves all together depending on which brand of magazines you have.

I have not tried taking the o-rings out entirely and soaking them, although I want to do that. The problem is, I don't know how to loosen or tighten that valve, is there a tool for that?

goto the hardware store and find a flat head screwdriver that will fit. remove the valve and inspect the oring for damage. if it's okay, submerge it in silly oil for an hour or so. clean off the threads and teflon tape it with several layers along all the threads. reinsert valve.

if the orings are damaged and you cannot source a new one, try ordering a new fill valve.
