Sniper Help
So im looking into getting a Sniper rifle project. Im a smaller guy, so im having second thoughts about the Well L96, hows the JG BAR in comparison? And how much is the BAR? Ive looked in the classifieds, but couldnt find anything.
Again, this will be a long term project, so im not looking for a CA M24 sort of rifle, something that will perform great, once FULLY upgraded. Sort of wierd to some, but i'd like to see, and feel each upgrade as i go along. Thanks! |

A VSR-10 AND the CA M24 will both perform well upgraded. no questions there.
Get a stock TM Vsr-10. for a sniper kit, NEVER get a clone! the tolerances are too far off and you wont get the best accuracy when compared to the real deal. a TM Vsr-10 i think goes for around $500 ish new. that would be your best best as they are solid stock performers and can be upgraded as you go along. plus, it isn't very long (IMHO) so i think it will suit you well. If you want a short term sniper project, get a Gas rifle, such as a Tanaka rifle. |

having hadled both i can assure you that imo the vsr is more comfortable to handle... the type 96 is bulky... i personally have a jg bar10 gspec and i had absolutely no problem upgrading it... i'm very proud of the result it ended. very accurate rifle! if you can get a marui, get it... or get a jg one... not the other well crap clones

Haha alright, Also, what upgrades would you recommend? I know PDI, and laylax are the most common sniper brands, what do you think?

it depends on what fps you intend to play... wait i'll try to find the list i made on a noob's thread
here you go -pdi tightbore 6.01 vsr lengt ... absolute joy! -.30g bastards or heavier - around 400 fps spring, i think mine is a m120 or 110 (i forgot but i makes my vsr shoots 397-410) - uprgaded sears (for a 400 fps setup the 0 trigger is not absolutely needed) - FIREFLY HARD bucking (a must with the pdi tightbore) - metal spring guide - laylax cylinder head (seal is freakin awesome) in mine i still have the stock piston (removed airbreak) and cylinder... i kept them because they gives me a perfect compression ... dont forget to put oring grease on the piston's oring gives the gun nearly 300 feet of range with no wind... now i want to try using washed bastard .36g bb's now time to hit the bed LOL

Im probably going to start at around 400-450, just to get a feel for things, minimizing any danger that may occur if i make a mistake, which hopefully will not happen.

you should really think about staying around 400 fps ... its the shit!! stalker can vouch for that!

Alright, 400 FPS it is! Any idea for upgrades? I know it will not be cheap, and i think this is a start.
