IIRC, the DIOI (Defence Industry of Iran) makes AK variants, G3 variants and makes their own bullpup rifle called the KH-2002 which is based on the Steyr Aug. But internally it uses the M-16 system (Gas operated, but more reliable than the origional M16 system)

It looks like a bastard child of the AUG and FAMAS.

Nice to see a variety of guns being used

Also, when I think of Iranian (probably Tehran in this case) police cars, I picture beatup cars that are 20 years old, not brand new, freshly painted benzes

They replaced over 3/4 of the old cop cars with new ones, and half of them are Mercedes.

Since the hault of the "Paykan" (The notorious car that has been made for over 30 years without a slight revision of look or engine) that contributed to 60% of the pollution in Tehran is shining a new light on newer car production and better ways of transportation.

Iran isnt so bad as what people think it is, take a trip there and see it for yourself

Wow, I love the parade pictures. The MP5's are waaay too small to do nice drill with. And the goose-stepping looks great (I should try doing that on parade some time)...

As for the arms-show, I like that KH 2002.

Iran has a pretty huge weapons stockpile, and my Dad has seen it first hand in the Iran-Iraq war in the 80's.

666: I'll see what I can do
